Merry Christmas!

When their teacher called them to their commission, they were only in their youths. They were simple people—fishermen, tax collector, etc.—and they lived with their parents and siblings. Their teacher had high expectations and hopes on them, and with tremendous courage and vision he entrusted the future in their hands.

And so that night he was betrayed and sentenced to death the next day. The day when dark like night when the Sun was eclipsed, the earth shock and land separated, curtains tore and there was terror in every witness. Even the earth and sky felt the immeasurable pain with the death of this teacher who had gave up all his life for the life of his disciples. Before he gave up his last breath, he said “it is finished.” By that, he finished evil committed towards him, he overcame evil with good, and with that good overcame evil. That was not the end!

A few days later on their way back to Emmaus, down, their teacher appeared before two of them and talked to them. At first they didn’t recognize him, but when they realized his speech, they were instantaneously enlightened. They saw the life after death, and they were merry… Their master’s sacrifice had now brought life to them!
