A children's ministry has started a project to reach one million children in Singapore and Malaysia with the message of the Gospel.
The Singapore chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship, an outreach ministry for children, has started a campaign to partner with churches to distribute copies of the Wonder Book, a powerful evangelistic tool developed by CEF to answer children’s questions and lead them to faith and growth in Jesus Christ, which has been translated into over 80 languages.
Inspired by its founder, Jessie Irwin Overholtzer, who at the age of twelve was convicted of his own sin and sought counsel from his mother but was told he was too young, and eager to tell boys and girls how to be free from the guilt of sin, CEF believes that every child can gain a conversion experience.
CEF Singapore believes that children are actually actively seeking for answers to their many questions about God and faith, such as, “Who is God?” “How did the world begin?” “Why is there so much trouble in the world?” and “How can I go to heaven someday?” And Wonder Book gives all the answers in terms that children can easily understand.
The ministry has started the 6/10 Wonder Book Project whereby it will make copies of the book available to churches through cheap bulk sales: at $10 for every six copies.
Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered, worldwide organisation, comprising of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelise boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, edify (disciple) them in the Word of God and establish them in the local Church.
CEF is currently ministering in over 150 countries. In 1970, CEF reached Singapore.
